We generally do not accept returns for any purchase especially when we are dealing with underwater equipment where exposure to salt water generally does not allow any exchange.
We will only accept a return in the event that a purchase warrants a claim due to manufacturing defect. In this case, only the manufacturer can evaluate the claim where the defective product must be sent back to country of manufacture. Pre-ordered items cannot be exchanged for any other item as the products are ordered specifically for your needs.
In the event that your request to exchange will be approved by the manufacturer, all the original packaging, manuals, parts and accessories must be complete to avail of this special request. We do not refund any prior payments made to us. You will have to exchange it for an item equal or more than your original purchase. A 10% restocking fee will be charged to your account for returns.
More often than not, a quick visit to us with your gear will allow us to remedy the problem without cost to you. We are more interested to help you out and remedy the situation at the soonest possible time.
Receiving an order
Carefully inspect that all of your order is complete and in good order. If you suspect something damaged, please take photos of the condition it came in and send it to us by email. Notify us within 2 days of the receipt of shipment. Keep all packaging materials, cards, manuals and accessories for verification.
Insurance is provided when we ship our orders locally using tried and tested courier facilities such as LBC Express, FEDEX and DHL. In the event for any claims due to damaged shipment, please notify us about it immediately and we will assist in your application for claim from the courier service. Insurance claims for shipments must be directed to the courier. We simply want to make sure you get help.
We accept major credit cards, Paypal, Wire transfer or Bank deposit.
All brand new purchases made from Splash are covered by the manufacturers warranty from defects for a specified length of time, which varies by manufacturer. Please check your manuals and warranty cards for details.
In the event of a valid warranty claim, we will normally repair it locally and have it back working in proper condition. In some instances, the manufacturer may require that the equipment in question be sent back to them where freight cost will be charged to your account. We will take care of the shipping cost on the way back.
Manufacturers warranty only covers the housing and not the camera installed in the housing. Once the housing is returned to us, we will evaluate by inspecting that no damaged has been made on the housing & ports lips and supplied O-rings. These are crucial for us to be able to determine and report to the manufacturer the situation of the problem. We will then install supplied O-rings (main O-ring and port O-rings where applicable) and pressure test it to check for any leaks. If no leaks occur, the assumption is that the O-rings were incorrectly installed. It is for this reason that we request each customer to do a “dry dive” (no camera installed) with the housings first dive. Although, manufacturer tests have been implemented, it is best to test integrity as the warranty only applies to the housing. This also allows to practice the process of the user in installing the O-rings.
